GUWAHATI: Northeast Frontier Railway has announced special train services between Jogbani and Tundla stations to accommodate the increasing number of pilgrims traveling to the Maha Kumbh Mela 2025. These special trains will operate for a single trip in each direction to help manage the heavy rush of devotees.

Kapinjal Kishore Sharma, Chief Public Relations Officer (CPRO) of Northeast Frontier Railway, highlighted the growing demand for transportation to religious gathering. "As we know, the number of people who are visiting Kumbh Mela is continuing to increase day by day. More than 45 crore people have already visited the Kumbh Mela, and the devotees continue to wish to go there. In order to meet their needs, North East Frontier Railway is also arranging for special trains." Sharma said.
He mentioned that special trains would run from Jogbani to Tundla on Friday and Saturday, while an additional service from Ronga Pani to Tundla would also operate on Saturday.
Sharma further assured that efforts are being made to introduce more special trains in response to the high demand from devotees. "So due to the continuous demand of the devotees for running more and more special trains, we are doing as best as we can to come up with more and more special trains to meet the needs of the devotees." he added.
