Guwahati: The West Guwahati Police has decided a clampdown on all godowns, transport companies and other commercial activities that are operating from residential areas without permission from the competitive authority.
An order was issued by Bhanwar Lal Meena, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Guwahati West Police District which prohibits commercial use of residential property without proper approval.
The order intends to address issues of rampart illegal parking, loading and unloading of goods on a busy stretch thereby causing in-convenience to the residents of West Guwahati.

This 30th June order shall remain in force for a period of 60 days till 29th August 2018.
