Talking to GPlus, Asif Iqbal, an eye-witness present at the site of the accident said, “The accident occurred at around 4:15 AM today near Walford when a cab carrying four passengers including the driver, was en-route to Paltanbazar. They were travelling behind a DI truck which was laden with bamboo with no safety markings on it. Due to unknown circumstances, the car crashed into the truck, causing the bamboos to impale through the hood of the car and into the battery and electrical systems. This is what caused the car to burst into flames, we suspect.”
