GUWAHATI: The Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has decided to add extra coaches in multiple weekly trains to help with the rush of passengers due to the upcoming festive season of Diwali, Chhath Puja and winter holidays.
Authorities shared a notice on NFR’s official Twitter page which stated that additional coaches will be added in the following trains:
One AC-3 tier coach will be added to 15668 Kamakhya- Gandhidham Express train from October 23 to February 19, 2020.
One AC-3 tier coach will also be attached each in two trains – 15667 Gandhidham-Kamakhya Express and 22512 Kamakhya-Lokmanya Tilak (T) Express – from October 26 to February 22, 2020.
Another AC-3 tier coach each will be added to 22511 Lokmanya Tilak (T)-Kamakhya Express and 15656 Shmata Vd Katra-Kamakhya Express trains from October 30 to February 26, 2020.
Further, three AC-3 tier coaches will be added to 15619 Gaya-Kamakhya Express train from October 29 to February 25, 2020, one AC-3 tier coach will be added to 15623 Bhagat Ki Kothi-Kamakhya Express train from October 29 to March 3, 2020.
Three AC-3 tier coaches and one AC-3 tier coach will be attached to 15622 Anand Vihar (T)-Kamakhya Express and 15624 Kamkhya-Bhagat Ki Kothi Express trains respectively from October 25, 2019 to February 28, 2020.
Three AC-3 tier coaches will be attached to 15622 Anand Vihar-Kamakhya Express train from October 24 to February 27, 2020, the 15620 Kamakhya-Gaya Express train will get three AC-3 tier coaches from October 28 to February 24, 2020.
The 15655 Kamakhya-Shmata Vd Katra Express train will have one additional AC-3 tier coach from October 27 to February 23, 2020.
