IAS Virendra Mittal officially took charge as the Deputy Commissioner of Kamrup (M) on Monday, February 26.
In a significant bureaucratic reshuffle ahead of the upcoming panchayat elections, nine IAS officers including Kamrup (M) Deputy Commissioner were transferred with immediate effect.
IAS officer Virendra Mittal who earlier served as the Deputy Commissioner of Jorhat had been transferred as the Deputy Commissioner of Kamrup (Metro).
M Angamuthu, who was serving as the Commissioner & Secretary to the Guwahati Development Department, had been relived from the additional position of Kamrup (M) DC.
Angamuthu served in the position of Kamrup (M) DC for four years.
