GUWAHATI : Actor Adil Hussain from Assam has been nominated for the best actor (male) category at the Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Awards.
He was nominated for his performance in the film Mukti Bhawan which was directed by Shubhashish Bhutiani.
The Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Awards ceremony will be held in June at Bangkok.
Adil Hussian plays the role of a son who take his father (played by Lalit Behl) on this journey to Mukti Bhawan and the experiences they have at Hotel Salvation.

The movie is 25-yr-old Bhutiani's directorial debut and portrays the last days of an old man taking refuge to die in Mukti Bhawan on the ghats of Varanasi.
Other cast members include Lalit Behl, Gitanjali Kulkarni and Palomi Ghosh.
