GUWAHATI: Two young individuals lost their lives when their motorcycle collided with a utility pole along the roadside in Baguan, Goalpara on November 14.
The accident occurred yesterday night near Baguan village in Kharmuza Tehsil, Goalpara where reportedly the motorcycle was traveling at a high speed when the collision took place, resulting in the demise of the riders. The deceased individuals have been identified as Sariful Islam and Akthar Hussain.
Talking to GPlus, a police official from the Baguan Outpost said, “The case was received by us yesterday as an overspeeding case where the two individuals Sariful and Akthar while on the two-wheeler lost control and slammed with a pole. They died on-spot.”
Local authorities were alerted to the scene following a tip, and upon arrival, they retrieved the bodies of Sariful Islam and Akthar Hussain for post-mortem examinations. Further investigations are underway.
