GUWAHATI: A woman was looted of her belongings on Friday night after being attacked by a miscreant in Guwahati’s Noonmati area.
According to police reports, the incident took place in the Sunsali area in Noonmati on late Friday night when the victim woman was returning home from some work.
The miscreant reportedly attacked the woman on the main road, and snatched away her valuables and cash. The woman sustained minor injuries, sources said.
As per official reports, the victim woman later lodged a complaint at Noonmati police station.
Talking to G Plus, officials at Noonmati police station said, “The case has come to us. We are trying to identify the miscreant, and will try to apprehend him as soon as possible.”
The investigation is underway as further details are awaited.
