Mega Registration Drive For Skill Training Programmes Held In Assam

GUWAHATI: Assam Skill Development Mission (ASDM) recently organised a significant registration drive spanning from August 25 to 27, across all districts of Assam. The primary purpose of this drive was to facilitate the enrollment of interested candidates for forthcoming fully government-sponsored residential skill training initiatives, set to commence in September throughout the state.

This pioneering registration drive, aimed at mobilising candidates, drew the participation of thousands of young individuals from diverse backgrounds. It took place at 31 designated venues established in districts, primarily in government ITIs and Employment Exchange Offices, under the Skill, Employment & Entrepreneurship Department of the Assam Government. Substantial efforts were made to publicise the event through newspaper advertisements, social media posts, and other means.

Throughout the three-day Mega Registration Drive, the youth demonstrated remarkable enthusiasm and interest in enrolling themselves for diverse skill training programmes across various sectors. The turnout was overwhelming, with aspirants flocking to the registration venues.

The total number of registrations completed was 15,779. The total number of registrations for current job roles was 12,330. The total number of registrations for future job role training was 3,449.
