Mass Resignation Of Doctors In GMCH False, Says Superintendent

 

GUWAHATI: The news of the mass resignation of doctors from Gauhati Medical College And Hospital (GMCH) in Guwahati has been reported to be false.

This was stated by Abhijit Sarma, the Superintendent of Gauhati Medical College And Hospital (GMCH) on Tuesday, July 16.

Sarma took to X to put out, “Surprised by the news item of alleged Govenrment doctors resignations. No such mass resignation has happened at present. I or my Principal are not aware of any such thing at GMCH. People have to be careful while posting such news in social media.”

Earlier, on July 16, it was reported that multiple doctors from Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Jorhat Medical College & Hospital (JMCH), Assam Medical College and Hospital, Dibrugarh, and state-run hospitals in Silchar, Nalbari, Kokrajhar, and Diphu Medical Colleges tendered their resignations citing various reasons.
