GUWAHATI: A man’s body was found on a divider in the Borbari area of Guwahati on Saturday, January 6.
The locals spotted the body and informed the police for assistance who arrived at the scene around 12:30 PM today.
Talking to GPlus, a police official from Dispur Police Station stated, "The deceased appears to be a 35-year-old man who was a ragpicker. It is reported that he frequently slept on the footpath where his body was found. However, the man's identity is yet to be confirmed."
"The body has been sent to GMCH for post-mortem examination," the police official informed GPlus.
Further investigation is underway.
