The Manas National Park in Assam has been nominated for the Best National Park in the Outlook Traveller Awards 2018 (OLT Awards).
Manas National Park or Manas Wildlife Sanctuary is also a UNESCO Natural World Heritage site, a Project Tiger reserve, an elephant and a biosphere reserve.
The park is known for its rare and endangered endemic wildlife such as the Assam roofed turtle, hispid hare, golden langur and pygmy hog and wild water buffalo.

The other nominations include Satpura National Park in Madhya Pradesh, Desert National Park in Rajasthan and Bandipur National Park in Karnataka.
