GUWAHATI: A man was stabbed to death during a picnic in the Borkhola area of Cachar on Sunday, January 26.

The victim, identified as Simon Chimpli, was attacked by a local man named Nabinchon Bandara, who stabbed multiple times. Chimpli died as a result of his injuries.
Police were called to the scene and Bandara was apprehended. Speaking to GPlus, a Barkhola police station official confirmed the incident, stating: “An individual stabbed a man to death with a knife. The deceased has been identified as Simon Chimpli. He went to a picnic with his family and friends when a local man stabbed him. The attacker is apprehended and further investigation is ongoing.”
The body was sent to Silchar Medical College Hospital (SMCH) for a post-mortem examination.
