GUWAHATI: Sivasagar Police have successfully thwarted an illegal wildlife trafficking operation involving elephant tusks following an operation on the evening of Wednesday, January 29, in the Baasbari area of Bihubor tea estate.

Acting on specific intelligence, the police apprehended a suspect and seized three pieces of elephant tusks from his possession.
The individual, whose identity has not been disclosed, was taken into custody, and further investigations are underway to determine the source of the tusks and investigate potential links to trafficking networks.
