GUWAHATI: Assam’s Phaagun Jyoti recently secured the runner-up position in the Under-12 Girls' Singles category at the ongoing All India National Ranking AITA Tennis Championship Series CS7.

The tournament is currently being held at Dream House Tennis Academy, Jaipur, Rajasthan, from Monday, January 27 to February 1.
In addition to her performance in the Under-12 category, Phaagun displayed skill in the Under-14 Girls’ Singles event, particularly triumphing over Rajasthan’s Pragathi M with a score of 6-2, 6-1, which secured her place in the semi-finals.
This latest achievement adds to Phaagun Jyoti’s growing list of accolades. In December 2024, she was crowned champion in the Under-10 Girls’ Singles category at the 34th All Assam Junior Ranking Tennis Tournament, held at the North East Tennis Foundation (NETF) from December 19 to 24.
Earlier in the same year, she also made her mark in Haryana’s Rohtak, winning the Under-14 Girls’ Doubles title at the AITA Championship Series Tennis.
Additionally, she finished as the runner-up in the Under-12 Singles category at the same event.
