The Maligaon foot over bridge which is located in one of the prime locations of the city, will remain closed due to construction.
In view of the traffic congestion that the closure of the foot bridge could lead, DCP Traffic today released an advisory wherein it has been mentioned that citizens who are going to airport via Maligaon are requested to start their journey one hour earlier than ususal time till the bridge is restored.
The DCP Traffic has also advised that ambulance and other emergency services vehicles entering Guwahati should avoid DG Road from Jalukbari Rotary and use the National Highway for entering Guwahati.
Due to closure of the bridge, pedestrians are also allowed to cross the road on either sides of DG Road instead of the bridge.
