GUWAHATI: The Kamrup (Metropolitan) District Authority has ordered for dry days on 16th, 17th, and 19th December in certain areas of the district in connection with the Tiwa Autonomous Council Elections, 2020 to be held on the said dates.

As such, dry days will be observed from Khanapara Flyover to Khetri and from Panikhaiti Railway Crossing to Morigaon District Border under Kamrup Metropolitan District.
During this period, the possession, distribution, and sale of liquor will be completely prohibited. All the wholesale/bonded warehouses, IMFL Retail "OFF" and "ON" shops including Club "ON", Hotel "ON" and country spirit shops located at the above-mentioned places will remain closed.
Any violation of the above will be dealt with stringent action as per law.
