GUWAHATI: On the Constitution Day for India, the Jansankhya Samadhan Foundation (JSF) Northeast Chapter on Thursday, November 26 sent a memorandum to the President of India, Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi, Lok Sabha Speaker demanding enactment of a strict Population Control Law in the nation.
The memorandum also highlighted the various programmes and initiatives that the organisation has been carrying out since the year 2013.
JSF also mentioned about the recent signature campaign which was held in the entire Northeast during Diwali, followed by various population control activities by the people of the nation.

JSF also launched a nation-wide Sankalpa (oath-taking) programme in support of Population Control Law in Northeast earlier during Kati Bihu, where more than 50,000 plus JSF warriors participated across Northeast.
Sailendra Pandey, Chairman, JSF NE said, "If we are really looking for a secure and developed nation then, we need a strong population control bill."
He also stated that the present situation of the Northeast is very alarming; implementation of the population law will help in countering the Tukre Tukre Gang and among others, as these infamous elements that are allegedly plotting a conspiracy to separate the northeast from the rest of India.
JSF also appealed for the safeguards of the indigenous people of the states of Northeast through immediate enforcement of Population control law.
