JB College Authorities File Case Against Nine Students For Ragging

 

GUWAHATI: A case has been registered against several Jagannath Barooah (JB) College students involved in ragging in Jorhat, Assam.

Cases have been registered against eight students and one hostel alumnus at Jorhat Sadar Police Station by the college authorities.

In this regard, the Officer-In-Charge (OC) of Jorhat Sadar Police Station told G Plus, “The police have started a preliminary enquiry by registering case no. 893 / 2022 case of Indian Penal Code 341/325/506/34 IPC with Section A of the Assam Prohibition of Ragging Act 1998 at the Jorhat Sadar Police Station.”

As per sources, the details of the incident will come to light only after the police investigation.
