Inter-District Movement Of Citizens Allowed from Today

GUWAHATI: Chief Secretary to the government of Assam, Kumar Sanjay Krishna, vide a notice dated July 22, has allowed inter-district movement of citizens on July 30 and July 31.

"Inter district movement of citizens is allowed on 30th and 31st July 2020 in the State of Assam subject to the strict compliances of COVID-19 regulations as detailed in the various guidelines of Govt. of Assam," read the notice.

Meanwhile, a bus can carry only 50 percent passengers and the travelers have been asked to maintain COVID-19 protocols during the journey. People should wear a mask while travelling and should also maintain social distancing with screening of the passengers before boarding the bus.

The permission granted is subject to strict compliance of COVID-19 regulations as mentioned in previous guidelines issued on July 18. 

The notice also mentioned that the permission for inter-district movement is not for those residing in containment zones. Others, however, must strictly follow social distancing protocols.
