GUWAHATI: In a sad incident, an Indonesian low-cost airliner, Lion Air JT610, with 189 people on board crashed into the sea off near Java, Indonesia on Monday.
The airliner, a Boeing 737 MAX, lost contact 13 minutes after take-off from Jakarta and has been officially confirmed crashed by Lion Air.
Search and rescue operations are on and wreckage and debris have been reportedly found floating near an offshore refining facility.
