GUWAHATI: Three people. including two minors, drowned in the Brahmaputra river near Noonmati while taking a bath on April 5, at around 5:30 p.m.

The victims, all residents of Chandmari, were reported to be missing after they went for a bath.
Upon receiving the distress call, the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) initiated a rescue operation. Despite their efforts, the bodies of the three people were recovered lifeless from the river.

Talking to GPlus, an official from the Noonmati police said, "They went to take a bath, and lost their lives. We were informed about this case in the evening and two of three victims were minors."
