GUWAHATI: Low-cost carrier IndiGo airlines will start direct flights from Silchar to Kolkata from September 20, which will enhance mobility, trade and tourism in the region.
According to a company statement, two daily non-stop flights will operate on the Kolkata-Silchar route.

The first Silchar-Kolkata IndiGo flight will depart from Kolkata at 7.30 AM and reach Silchar at 8.45 AM. The IndiGo flight will depart from Silchar at 9.15 AM and reach Kolkata at 10.30 AM.
It is to be mentioned that IndiGo airlines also recently launched direct flights to Shillong in Meghalaya, Agartala in Tripura and Dibrugarh in Assam.
