GUWAHATI: In a shocking incident, an Indian Army Jawan reportedly committed suicide on Friday, December 9, 2022, in Assam’s Baksa district.
According to reports, the deceased Jawan, identified as Naba Das, was found hanging from the ceiling fan at his in-law’s residence in the Bhotepowabari area of Baksa district in Assam. Police said that a suicide note was found in the residence.
However, the reason for the Army Jawan taking the extreme step is yet to be ascertained.
At the time of filing this news report, it has been learnt that the deceased Army Jawan who belonged to the 17 Assam Regiment and was posted in the Ladakh sector was on a leave for the past two months.
