Under the initiative, students at PM Shri Adarsh Vidyalayas in Assam will soon be able to learn mathematics and science in local languages using virtual reality (VR).
The project, named "Gyandhara," is being developed in collaboration with the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Department of Education, Assam. It will be launched as a pilot initiative in 56 schools in Assam later this year. The initiative has been taken to provide an engaging learning experience, making abstract concepts easier to understand.

He stated that the "Gyan Dhara Metaverse" will utilise VR technology to create interactive 3D environments for students aged 13 to 18. The platform has been designed in a way to encourage creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration among students.
The pilot phase will cover students from classes 8 to 12, focusing on mathematics, science, and social science. After its initial launch, the metaverse project will eventually expand to schools across the Northeast and the rest of the country.
