IIE And IIT Guwahati Partner To Boost Entrepreneurship In Northeastern Region

GUWAHATI: Indian Institute of Entrepreneurship (IIE) and the Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati, have taken a significant step towards empowering the North Eastern Region (NER) through their partnership.

In a ceremony attended by Union Minister for Education, Skill Development, and Entrepreneurship Dharmendra Pradhan and Union Minister of State Subhas Sarkar, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed on Tuesday, marking the beginning of a joint endeavour to strengthen the skilling ecosystem and entrepreneurship development in the NER.

The primary focus of this partnership is to foster entrepreneurship, incubation, and start-ups in the North Eastern Region. To achieve this, both institutes will collaborate closely and exchange crucial information and resources. Their combined efforts aim to address the growing demand for capacity building and entrepreneurship promotion in the NER, making it a thriving hub for aspiring entrepreneurs.

A key aspect of the collaboration is the support for professional development in various fields, such as management, entrepreneurship, and skill development. This will equip promising entrepreneurs in the Northeast with the necessary knowledge and expertise to establish and grow their enterprises successfully. Adequate funding, improved infrastructure, and financial literacy will be crucial elements in facilitating their journey towards success.
