According to locals, the drains are overflowing with waste, leading to waterlogging during rainfall and emitting an unbearable stench.

"The condition has worsened over the last few weeks. The drains are clogged with household waste and plastic, making it impossible to pass through the area without holding your breath," said Anil Kumar, a resident of the area talking to GPlus.

The problem has been compounded by the lack of regular cleaning and maintenance by the authorities as alleged by the residents.
Meanwhile, talking to GPlus, a senior official from GMC said, “This issue has been raised and targeted by us multiple times. We engage in a clean-up drive only for the drains to end up littered again. This understanding has to arise from the residents as well.”

However, it remains to be seen as to how the residents and authorities find a solution to this issue.
