GUWAHATI: A gang of dog smugglers was caught illegally transporting dogs in Guwahati’s Chandmari area on Wednesday, January 8, after locals raised concerns about their suspicious activities.
Upon further inspection, the group admitted to picking up dogs from the streets and shipping them off to Meghalaya to supplement the meat trade, but denied the same later.
