GUWAHATI: In a joint operation, Meghalaya and Basistha police conducted a raid in Bhetapara area in Guwahati.
According to reports, in an operation against drugs, the team raided a house in Shankar Madhav Path in Bhetapara, Hatigaon area and seized huge quantities of brown sugar.

The drugs were seized from a rented house wherein the illicit substance was found hidden inside an inverter battery box. The police also recovered empty containers for the drug distribution.
Police have arrested two youths, identified as Ahbi Das from Assam and Shashikant Singh from Manipur in connection to the case.
Currently, both of the accused are in police custody and investigation ongoing.
