HSLC 2020: 36 Students Expelled For Cheating in Assam

GUWAHATI: The High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) examination which started on February 10 saw as many as 36 students caught red-handed in malpractice.

As many as 21 students were expelled in Dhubri while 2 in Darrang, 1 in Goalpara, 5 in Hailakandi, 3 in Lakhimpur and 4 in Nagaon district.

Earlier, SEBA announced that if any student found engaging in malpractice during the ensuing HSLC/AHM examinations will be expelled for a period of three years.

This year in Assam around 3,48,739 HSLC candidates and 9,707 AHM candidates is appearing for the board examination in 860 centres.
