Hathras Victim was Not Raped, Claims UP Police

In a new twist to the Hathras gang-rape case, a senior police officer of Uttar Pradesh on 1st October said that the 19-year-old victim was not raped.


ADG (Law and Order) Prashant Kumar said that the forensic science laboratory (FSL) report did not find any sperm sample on the victim. 


"The report of the FSL has also come. It says clearly that samples did not have sperm. It makes clear that there was not rape or gang rape," he said.


"Even the woman in her statement to police did not mention about rape but talked about 'maar-peet' (beating)," he added.


Kumar added that forensic have diagnosed the reason of death as an injury on the neck and trauma resulting due to it.


Adding that some people have wrongly presented facts to disturb social harmony, he ensured that police will identify the miscreants soon.
