GUWAHATI: The long-standing issue of the deteriorating footpath near the Ulubari Flyover in Lachit Nagar has been addressed, providing much-needed relief to local pedestrians.

A key improvement includes the reconstruction of a section of the footpath that had previously vanished, ensuring a safer walking path for residents.
This problem had been a source of concern for the community, with numerous complaints raised over the months.
After several months of delays, the Public Works Department (PWD) has completed the necessary repairs, restoring the footpath to a safe and usable condition.
Additionally, efforts have been made to clear the area of street dwellers and address the unhygienic conditions that had made the space unpleasant for pedestrians.
