GUWAHATI: A woman from Maligaon area of Guwahati has died following a bizarre accident on her terrace. Barkharani Das, a 55-year-old lady, had gone to the terrace to dry clothes.

On the terrace, a water tank fell on her. The incident occurred at Kameshwari Complex, BG Colony, Maligaon. She was taken to the Railway Hospital initially. Her situation deteriorated and she was later taken to GNRC, where she succumbed to injuries.

The Jalukbari Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Upen Kalita confirmed the death of the lady. The official stated that there was no other angle to the death.
