GUWAHATI: In another incident of theft, a thief was apprehended by police in the Gandhi Basti area on Wednesday morning in an attempt to steal a water pump.
According to official information, the thief who has been identified as Babu Talukdar was apprehended while reportedly trying to steal a water pump near Chandmari Rail line today.
While talking to G Plus, a police official from Chandmari Police Station confirmed the case and stated that the thief in connection to this case has been apprehended and is now in custody undergoing further legal proceedings.
Recently, several cases of theft have been reported in several areas of Guwahati which have left the residents shocked and worried.
