Guwahati's Pandu Port to be used by Bhutan for Exports

GUWAHATI: Exporters from the Kingdom of Bhutan are planning to use the Brahmaputra river for shipping consignments to different parts of India and abroad via Pandu Port.

It is to be mentioned that the Royal Government of Bhutan has written to the Centre to allow the Bhutanese exporters to use the Pandu port at Guwahati.

The Chief Executive Officer, Druk Satair Corporation Limited told Northeast Now that they are planning to use the river port for transporting Gypsum as it is going to be cheaper and environment-friendly.

The Pandu port is regarded as the largest and the oldest harbor in northeast India.
