Following his arrival, on May 4, he is expected to visit the TATA semiconductor ATMP unit site in Jagiroad.

Taking to Social Media platform X (formerly Twitter), Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma stated, "A warm welcome to H.E Nukaga Fukushiro and Japanese delegation to Assam. I am confident this visit will further strengthen the strong bond between Japan & Assam and give momentum to the strong headway made during my visit to the country earlier this year."

A few weeks back, Fukushiro strongly condemned the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, and assured Japan's full support to India in the fight against terrorism in the House of Representatives of Japan.

This growing Assam-Japan partnership has the potential to form a beacon of international cooperation, development, and cultural exchange.
