A Guwahati resident hailing from AT Road area allegedly discovered a cockroach in a cake. The cake was ordered from Cake.com located at Shopper's Point, Fancy Bazaar via Swiggy.

The cake was ordered during the afternoon but was consumed at night around 9 PM. G Plus spoke to Darpan Jain who had ordered the cake.
"At first I thought it to be a piece of chocolate. But then I realized it was a cockroach. Upon discovering it, I vomited. I belong to the Jain faith and I am a vegetarian," added Darpan Jain.
As per Darpan Jain, he had confronted the proprietor regarding the matter.
G Plus spoke to Deepak Kothari, proprietor of Cake.com who stated that he had not seen any cockroach. "I am not saying this is not possible, it's just I have not seen the cockroach," said Kothari.
He further exuded confidence in his quality. "We have been selling pastries for quite some time and have not encountered any such incident," added Kothari.
