GUWAHATI: Guwahati Railway Station has been ranked 21 in cleanliness among the A1 category railway stations in India.
Guwahati railway station scored 863.86 out of 1,000 while Jodhpur and Jaipur were the first and second among the A1 category scoring 977.97 and 972.30.
It is to be mentioned that among the A-category stations, Bongaigaon was ranked 84, Barpeta Road 115, Rangiya Junction 120, Jorhat Town 216, Silchar 256, Lumding 259, Dimapur 266, Tinsukia 295 and Dibrugarh Town 305.
The survey was conducted by the Quality Council of India (QCI), an autonomous body and the report was released by Union railways minister Piyush Goyal.
According to the report, there is 9 % improvement in top 100 stations, 14 % in the next 100 stations, 20 % in 201-300 stations and 31 % in 301-407 stations as compaired to 2017.
