GUWAHATI: A youth from the Pandu area of Guwahati was found dead after being reported “missing”. As per sources, 26-year-old Krishna Prasad, a resident of BBC Colony in Pandu had gone out with his friends on Monday, October 19.
Following which he went missing and his parents contacted the Jalukbari Police Station in Guwahati.
Two days later, his dead body was found in Loco Colony drain. As per inquest by Police, injury marks have been seen in the body. "We suspect murder and we are currently investigating," said Upen Kalita, Officer-in-Charge, Jalukbari Police Station.
The police have arrested one Pintu Paul in connection to the case.
Meanwhile, the mother has alleged many others involved in the death. However, the police have refuted such claims.
"We can't just arrest anyone whose name has been taken," added Kalita.
