The Panikhaiti police in Guwahati has arrested a man for his alleged involvement in the suicide of his lover.

The girl named Swabnam Khatun is a resident of Aamgaon, Taribagan, Panikhaiti Gaon. She is a student of Guwahati College, BCom 3rd year.

Her alleged love interest named Imran Ahmed has been arrested on the links connected to her suicide. This was informed to G Plus by Sasadhar Kalita, Officer in Charge (OC), Panikhaiti Police Station in Guwahati.
Swabnam died by suicide on February 5; she had hanged herself to death.
