GUWAHATI: An 8-year-old boy was washed away during the flash floods on Thursday, July 4, at around 11:00 p.m. following heavy rains from last night in Guwahati.

Talking to GPlus, a city police official said, "The boy was travelling with his father in a scooty, near the Jyotinagar area. It was then that he somehow fell in the drain by the side of the road and was washed away."
An official from F&ESS talking to GPlus said, "We are still searching for the boy."
