A man from Hatigaon area of Guwahati identified as Moinul Haque, who allegedly had strangled his wife to death at Lakhminath Bezbaruah Road on January 15 last, surrendered himself to the police late at night on January 20, informed Biren Deka, Officer in Charge (OC) of Hatigaon Police Station.
On January 16, Haque had fled with his three year old daughter and had informed about the incident to the Officer in Charge (OC) of Hatigaon Police Station the very next day.

Previously, the OC of Hatigaon Police Station had informed G Plus that they were trying to trace him and the man finally surrendered himself after being on the run for the last few days.
"He surrendered himself on January 20 late at night and has been sent to jail. His three year old daughter has been handed over to one of the relatives from her maternal side," Biren Deka, Hatigaon Police Station OC informed G Plus.
