GUWAHATI: Azara police on 31st July, arrested one Bijoy Rabha (45), for allegedly trying to rape his 17-year-old niece.
The incident took place at Matia, Azara when the girl was alone at home.
But before things could go out of hand, the girl raised an alarm and the neighbours arrived in no time.
The girl’s parents later lodged an FIR at the Azara Police Station, based on which the police apprehended the accused.
Later the accused, Rabha was produced before the court and sent to jail.
