GUWAHATI: In a distressing incident, a homeless person was found dead beneath the Bhangagarh flyover on Wednesday, at approximately 9:50 PM. Authorities suspect the victim, described as a quadragenarian, to have battled alcoholism and jaundice.
Prompt response from the local police ensued after receiving the alert, with officials arriving at the scene to manage the situation. The body has been transported to Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) for post-mortem examination.
Speaking to G Plus, a Bhangagarh Police Official said, "The homeless man was an alcoholic and so far jaundice might be the reason for his death. The body has been sent for post-mortem. We'll get to know the exact cause then".
