GUWAHATI: Heroin was seized by the Special Task Force, Assam (STF) in the Khanapara area of Guwahati on May 20 along with the apprehension of the persons involved in the illicit activities.

The STF authorities based on a tip-off, conducted a raid in the house of one Jamuna Kar, located at Garam Bazar, on the back side of Khanapara Veterinary College, and seized 29 numbers of vials containing suspected heroin having a total weight of 42 gram, and a cash amount of ₹6600.
Additionally, 5 mobile phones were seized which were suspected to be stolen.
The following persons have been apprehended namely, Jamuna Kar (35 yrs) and Vikash Chetri(25 yrs), who both are residents of Guwahati. Further legal proceedings have been initiated as we await further details.
