GUWAHATI: The Gurukul Grammar Senior Secondary School at Geetanagar, Guwahati, will be declared as a containment zone by the Kamrup metropolitan District Administration today, January 18.
This was informed to G Plus by the Deputy Commissioner of Kamrup (M) Pallav Gopal Jha.
The Administration along with the National Health Mission, Kamrup (M) conducted a COVID-19 testing drive at the school today, after which several teachers were reported positive.
Of the 144 RAT tests conducted in the school, 30 people tested COVID-19 positive.
All offline classes will remain suspended during this period, the Administration said.
