Following the footsteps of several other successful models of the region, Guwahati beauty, Jantee Hazarika is competing to make a new mark in the world of fashion and glamour. With a brilliant ad shoot for Livon, and a mesmerizing editorial photoshoot for P.C. Jewellers, Jantee has listed herself in the top 5 of the most coveted model hunt show of Indian television, India’s Next Top Model. Jantee have not only beaten several competitors of the show, but have caught the attention and praises of the judges and the industry experts with her performance with each passing week. Jantee said, “I faced problems because of my skin colour and the way I look in the fashion industry and in India’s Next Top Model as well. Things are pretty tough when you step outside Northeast. But in all these circumstances you just have to be yourself and true to your values” Jantee is being mentored in the show by top fashion personalities such as Lisa Haydon, Neeraj Gaba, Dabboo Ratnani and Anusha Dandekar. Jantee believes every person has two sides--professional and personal. In her personal life, she is fun-loving and crazy, but professionally, she is very confident and serious. “I want to be someone to whom girls from the North East look up to not only to be a model, but to become a woman of worth – a strong woman who gets inspired by all women who set a standard for themselves and show the world what a woman can achieve,” a confident Jantee said.
