GUWAHATI: Based on a complaint filed by the Assam Excise Department, city cops filed an FIR against an advertisement which claimed to deliver liquor at door steps.
According to reports, an advertisement was doing the rounds on social media via Facebook which claimed to home deliver liquor in Guwahati.
Acting upon it, the Assam State Excise Department stated that no such provision in state excise rules is applicable in Guwahati or in the state.

Further, as per the FIR a WhatsApp/Facebook account link and a number- 8876349480 posted home delivery and online sale of liquor in the name of R and B Wine Shop located at Neelkanth Building, RG Baruah Road, Opposite Zoo-Tiniali, Zoo Road Bus stop.
