GUWAHATI: A team from the Cyber Police Station recovered ₹90,837 on Monday, December 2, after it was fraudulently lost in a 'digital arrest' scam.

The funds, a portion of the total amount stolen, were restored to the victim's bank account following investigation.
The victim, a resident of Hatigaon, had fallen prey to the scam, losing ₹48,40,844 in the process. This led to the fraudulent transfer of funds from his account.
Cyber police are intensifying efforts to trace and recover the remaining stolen funds. Authorities have also launched a broader investigation to identify the scammers behind the operation.
