GUWAHATI: The larger-than-life celebration of the upcoming 71st Durga Puja of the Azad Hind Club is all set to enthral residents of Pandu New Colony and beyond with a grand spectacle.
This year, the Azad Hind Club of Sarbojan Durga Puja Committee is making history in Guwahati by adorning a towering 23-foot statue of Maa Durga with magnificent diamond crowns, marking the first instance of such opulence in the Northeast region.
With a budget of ₹15 lakh, the Azad Hind Club has left no stone unturned to create an unforgettable experience for devotees and visitors alike. The unique addition of diamond crowns to the grand Durga idol has generated immense excitement and anticipation among the residents of Pandu New Colony.
Speaking to G Plus, an official from the Azad Hind Club said, "The spectacular diamond crowns have been generously sponsored by Geo Diamonds and Gems", adding an extra layer of significance to the festivities.
The collaboration between the club and the renowned jewellery sponsor aims to elevate the traditional Durga Puja celebration to an unprecedented level of elegance and splendour.
